Pub Golf - Saturday 26th October

The next GCW social event on the calendar is an evening of Pub Golf on Saturday 26th October.

Social Supremo Jane Cargill promises an evening of fun.  While dressing up in suitable golf attire is essential, everyone (over 18, sadly) is encouraged and very welcome to come along and there is no requirement to drink at all 9 holes or any, if you’re either feeling sensible or have a game on the Sunday!

Please get on to the facebook event page available HERE and say you’re going, or let Jane or Jen Smith know in person.  (They’re both usually at Thursday night training.)  That will help them plan for the right numbers, and meeting place and time will be announced soon.

You know it’s going to be a great night, so get involved!

Junior Section Race Night Fundraiser

A race night to raise funds for the junior section was held on 6 October at the Ashvale restaurant.

80 people attended and enjoyed good food and a fun evening.

Thank you to everyone for supporting this event in many different ways, whether you sponsored a race, bought a horse or supplied a raffle prize, we are very grateful.

Due to your kindness and generosity we are delighted to report that we raised £1500 from this fundraiser and this will allow us to purchase training t-shirts for the junior section.

Thank you again for all your support!
