During the recent Commonwealth Games our very own “Auntie L”, Lorna Clyne was selected to be a TLA for one of the female sides at the tournament. Lorna was to be the TLA (Tournament Liason Officer) for the team from Trinidad & Tobago. The job of the TLA is to help the teams with any requests not anticipated and to smooth their time at the games. One of the first request was the acquisition of a large paddling pool to assist with the ice baths an essential for any team ta a major tournament. Lorna has remained tight lipped on any of the other requests so there may be a few stories to tell.

This week it has been announced that Lorna was voted the best TLA at the 2014 Hockey Tournament a great honour. I know that most of you who know Lorna will see this as no surprise given her ability to make everyone welcome and comfortable in a hockey environment. It is great to see that this is now recognised at an international level.

Well done Lorna we just hope the girls 4s know how lucky they are and if not we shall certainly tell them.
